Meet Kiki (she/her)
I’m a registered Art Therapist and comic artist with deep creative roots. As a child, you could often find me reading, writing, or making cartoons. I had a big imagination (with even bigger feelings) and I immersed myself into creative practices to give these feelings some more shape. Art and storytelling have always offered me space to express myself in ways that words alone can’t. Without them, feelings would feel much heavier and harder to untangle, and I know many others may feel the same way.
As an Art Therapist, I help others explore their inner and outer worlds playfully and at their own pace. My approach blends Narrative Therapy and art-based practice, informed by attachment-focused, play-based, and trauma-informed frameworks. I am motivated by evidence-based research and work toward advocating to bridge gaps between comics and mental health. With experience across education, family violence, local government, and public mental health, I offer a warm, inclusive, and culturally respectful space for people to reconnect to their innate skills and existing knowledge with compassion and curiosity.
I believe in the transformative power of creativity and storytelling to inspire growth, connection, and hope. You can read my Art Therapy comic musings, Guttered, now on WEBTOON.
